SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a new outlook for Jammu and Kashmir, indicating mostly cloudy weather over the next two weeks, with the possibility of light snowfall in the higher elevations and continued fog across several regions.

According to the forecast, December 11 and 12 are expected to bring partly cloudy skies throughout the Union Territory.

Between December 13 and 17, the weather is likely to stay partly to generally cloudy. The MeT office noted that a few higher reaches in North and Central Kashmir may receive very light snowfall, particularly late at night or during early morning hours.

Cloudy conditions are also expected to prevail from December 18 to 19.

For December 20 and 21, the department anticipates generally cloudy skies by evening, with a chance of light rain or snow at scattered locations in Kashmir and isolated areas of the Jammu division.

From December 22 to 25, the region is expected to see partly cloudy weather.

The MeT Centre warned that shallow to moderate fog will continue in many areas of Kashmir and at a few spots in Jammu, which could reduce visibility and impact travel.
