Govt Reduces Petrol Price by Rs2 Per Litre

NATIONAL NEWS

ISLAMABAD: The Finance Division has announced a modest reduction in petrol prices, lowering the cost by Rs2 per litre. With this adjustment, the new price stands at Rs263.45 per litre and will remain in effect from December 1 for the following two weeks.

The decision was made after consultations with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and other concerned departments, which regularly review pricing structures and market conditions.

Although this decrease provides a temporary breather for consumers, economic experts warn that uncertain trends in the global oil market, coupled with increasing energy demands and local financial constraints, could result in future pricing adjustments.

Individuals and commercial sectors reliant on fuel have been advised to anticipate potential changes in fuel rates as market dynamics evolve.

The revised pricing comes at a time when government fuel policies are under close observation due to their broader implications on inflation, household expenditures, and economic stability nationwide.
