PESHAWAR: Seven Terrorists Killed, Six Soldiers Martyred in Fierce Operation. Security forces conducted a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Doga area of Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, successfully eliminating seven militants linked to the India-backed group Fitnatul Khawarij.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was initiated after credible intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists in the region. During the exchange of heavy gunfire, an army captain and five soldiers embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly.
The martyred officer was Captain Noman Saleem, 24, a native of Mianwali, who led his men courageously till his last breath. The other fallen heroes were Naik Waqas Ahmed (36) from Swabi, Havaldar Amjad Ali (39) from Rawalpindi, Sepoy Aijaz Ali (23) from Shikarpur, Sepoy Muhammad Waleed (23) from Jhelum, and Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz (32) from Khairpur.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully determined to root out terrorism from the country. It added that the ongoing Operation Azm-e-Istehkam continues with full momentum to eliminate all threats to national peace and stability.
