In a defining moment for Pakistan’s global tech community, Rehan Jalil, a Pakistani-born entrepreneur and founder of Securiti AI, has made history with the company’s $1.7 billion acquisition by Veeam, a global leader in data resilience.
The Washington-based Veeam announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Securiti AI, a fast-growing Silicon Valley company that gives enterprises a unified command center for their data and AI governance. The deal, a mix of cash and stock, is expected to close in early December.
Founded in 2019 by Rehan Jalil, Securiti quickly became a leader in data security, privacy, and compliance automation, raising over $156 million from top-tier investors such as Mayfield, General Catalyst, and Cisco Investments.
Once the deal is complete, Jalil will join Veeam as President of Security and AI, leading the company’s efforts to strengthen trust, compliance, and transparency in the AI-driven data age.
