KARACHI: Popular actor Mahira Khan has dismissed recent online speculation suggesting she underwent a facelift, explaining that her altered look at a Lahore event was simply the result of a makeup experiment gone wrong.
The Neelofar star appeared alongside co-actor Fawad Khan at a promotional gathering, where social media users quickly began commenting on what they believed to be a noticeably “lifted” appearance. The buzz led to widespread assumptions about cosmetic surgery.
Addressing the chatter in a playful Instagram Story, Mahira said she had just returned from Lahore and was surprised to hear people say she had an eyebrow lift. Raising her eyebrows to show they were all natural, she laughed off the claims, saying the look was caused by a temporary makeup technique.
She went on to explain that her makeup artist had tried a lifting method meant to create a sculpted effect — but it didn’t turn out as intended.
Responding to a critical comment on X (formerly Twitter), Mahira wrote, “Thank you for the love, but why would I get a facelift now? (Not that I’m judging anyone who has.) My makeup artist tried a hair-lift trick to get a ‘snatched look,’ and it just wasn’t done right. Lesson learnt. Moving on.”
