LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday rejected a petition filed by former prime minister Imran Khan seeking to consolidate all cases registered against him across Punjab, citing non-prosecution.
During the proceedings, no lawyer appeared to represent Khan. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum asked the provincial government’s counsel about the number of cases filed against the PTI founder, who informed the court that a total of 107 cases had been registered.
With no representative present on Khan’s behalf once again, the court dismissed the petition due to non-compliance.
It may be recalled that the plea, filed in 2023, had sought to merge all cases lodged against Imran Khan in Punjab into a single proceeding for ease of hearing and consistency in trial.
