GAZA STRIP: Efforts to recover the remains of Palestinians buried under destroyed buildings are scheduled to start on Saturday, according to international media reports.
The operation will be jointly conducted by Gaza’s Civil Defence teams and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The search is planned to commence at 9am local time in the Barakat al-Waz neighbourhood of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza — an area where 64 people have been unaccounted for for months after Israeli airstrikes levelled several residential blocks.
Alongside Civil Defence personnel, forensic experts, Egyptian officials, and relatives of the missing will be on-site as the long-delayed recovery effort gets underway.
