ISLAMABAD: The federal government has pledged complete support to the newly elected Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, said on Tuesday.
Muqam congratulated the incoming AJK Prime Minister, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, expressing confidence that the young leader will take meaningful steps to advance development and improve the lives of people across the region. He added that Islamabad is ready to work closely with the new administration on all fronts.
The minister also voiced hope that Prime Minister Rathore would vigorously represent the Kashmir cause at the global level, ensuring that the longstanding struggle for self-determination continues to receive international attention.
Reaffirming the federal government’s commitment, Muqam said the people of AJK have placed great trust in their new leadership, and the centre stands prepared to assist the government in meeting those expectations.
