SRINAGAR: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out extensive search operations in several prisons across the Valley on Saturday, officials said.
The raids were conducted at Central Jail Srinagar and District Jail Kupwara as part of an effort to detect any prohibited items or suspicious activities inside the facilities.
Officials noted that appropriate legal action would follow if anything unlawful is found during the inspections.
Authorities have not disclosed whether any items were recovered, and further details are expected once the operation concludes.
