MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly on Tuesday elected Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore as the new prime minister of the territory.
Rathore, who belongs to a prominent political family, is the son of the late Raja Mumtaz Hussain Rathore, himself a former AJK prime minister.
With his election, Faisal Rathore becomes the youngest individual to assume the premiership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant moment in the region’s political landscape.
