ISLAMABAD: The federal government is reportedly all set to introduce the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill in Parliament, with the Senate expected to take it up tomorrow (Friday, November 7).
According to reliable sources, discussions surrounding the proposed amendment will be held in both houses of Parliament. The Senate’s ongoing session is expected to continue over the weekend as well, with debates scheduled for both Friday and Saturday.
Once formally introduced, the amendment bill will be forwarded to the relevant parliamentary committee for review. Sources indicated that its approval could likely take place by next week.
It is pertinent to mention that the current Senate session has been extended and will continue until November 14.
