RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army successfully neutralized seven militants in two separate counterterrorism operations conducted in Balochistan’s Dalbandin region and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the first operation, security forces targeted a hideout of the terrorist outfit Fitna-al-Hindustan in the mountainous area of Dalbandin. Acting on precise intelligence and aerial reconnaissance, troops struck the cave where the militants were taking shelter, killing six of them on the spot.
The ISPR said the strike was part of a broader campaign to dismantle terrorist networks and reinforce peace and stability across Balochistan. Officials emphasized that similar actions will continue until all threats to the region’s security are eliminated.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in the Shahi Tangi forest area of Bajaur, security forces confronted another group of militants. One terrorist was killed during an intense exchange of fire, while several others fled after sustaining injuries.
The forces subsequently cleared the area, including nearby tunnels and hideouts, recovering weapons, explosives, and communication gear used by the militants.
Security sources reaffirmed that operations against remaining terrorist elements will persist, underscoring the armed forces’ resolve to root out terrorism from every part of the country.
