NEW YORK: António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations has urged both sides to fully comply with the terms of the initial phase of the Gaza peace agreement signed by Israel and Hamas.
In response to the agreement, António Guterres emphasized that all hostages must be released in a dignified manner, a permanent ceasefire must be ensured, and the war must come to a complete and final end.
Earlier, the US President of the United States, Donald Trump, has revealed that Gaza is now becoming a much safer place.
He said it would be rebuilt, with support from other countries in the region. These countries, he added, possess considerable resources and are keen for the process to succeed.
The United States will also support these efforts, with the aim of helping to ensure lasting peace.
